Mark Hamill and Anthony Daniels Join Celebration Japan Autograph Stars!

Actor Mark Hamill, whose portrayal of Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars Saga captured the imagination of generations of fans, will appear at Star Wars Celebration Japan, scheduled for July 19-21 in the Makuhari-Messe Convention Center near Tokyo.

Joining Hamill at this first-ever official Lucasfilm Celebration in Asia will be actor Anthony Daniels, as well as a gathering of stars from across 30 years of Star Wars. Daniels performed in all six Star Wars movies as the golden droid C-3PO, and has the honor of delivering the first and last lines uttered in the opening and closing episodes of the Saga.

Hamill, whose acting career has encompassed scores of appearances in movies and television shows as well as critically acclaimed appearances on Broadway, will appear along with other 30-year Star Wars veterans, including Daniels, Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), David Prowse (Darth Vader), and Kenny Baker (R2-D2).

"We couldn't be more pleased that Mark and Anthony will help us celebrate 30 years of Star Wars in Japan," said Steve Sansweet, head of fan relations for Lucasfilm Ltd. "This will be a landmark Celebration for fans. Celebration Japan will also include special presentations about the new Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie and television series, plus entertainment and events for the entire family to enjoy together. We know this will be an unforgettable weekend for fans of all ages."

Meet a Galaxy of Stars at Celebration Japan
Star Wars fans at Celebration Japan have the opportunity to meet stars from all six movies of the Star Wars Saga, in the Autograph Hall all three days of this spectacular event. The autograph hall will be run by Official Pix, the official, licensed provider or Star Wars photos and autographs. In addition to their appearances in the Autograph Hall, many of the celebrities at Celebration Japan will appear live on the Celebration stages for entertaining interviews fans won't want to miss.

Amy Allen (Aayla Secura, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith) Star Wars creator and director George Lucas was taken with the character of Aayla Secura as presented in the Star Wars comics by Dark Horse. Allen, who was working for Lucas' Industrial Light & Magic, was chosen to play this role and became in instant fan favorite.

Kenny Baker (Credited as R2-D2 in all 6 movies of the Saga; Paploo the Ewok, in Return of the Jedi) Baker's performing career started at 16, and has spanned theater, film, television, ice shows, and the circus. As R2-D2, his footprints are in the cement outside the Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi; Lt. Shekel, The Empire Strikes Back; Captain Colton, Revenge of the Sith.) The actor behind the most fearsome bounty hunter in the galaxy, and the one with the coolest costume, Bulloch returned to the galaxy far, far away for Episode III to appear on screen without a helmet as Captain Colton.

Anthony Daniels (C-3PO, all six Star Wars movies)

Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia, original Star Wars trilogy) Actress and popular performer Carrie Fisher portrayed the heroic Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy. Always a favorite with audiences and Star Wars fans, Fisher is recognized for both her onscreen and onstage roles, and was 19 years old when she became a cultural icon as Princess Leia in A New Hope. In addition to A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, Fisher has performed in numerous movies and television series, in her own series of television specials, Conversations from the Edge with Carrie Fisher, and in the upcoming Star Wars-based comedy, Fanboys.

Anthony Forrest (Fixer and Stormtrooper) Anthony Forrester recently began his Star Wars autograph career with Celebration IV in Los Angeles, in 2007. Known for portraying the "move along" stormtrooper in a Mos Eisley scene with Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, Forrester also played Skywalker's friend Fixer.

Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker, original Star Wars trilogy)

Jake Lloyd (Anakin Skywalker, The Phantom Menace) Every saga has a beginning, and the story of Anakin Skywalker started with the character as young slave boy on Tatooine. Lloyd was cast to portray Skywalker at the age of seven-and-a-half, and relished his Star Wars experience. Before he was cast for the Star Wars prequel, Lloyd was already a film veteran, having appeared with Arnold Schwarzenegger in Jingle All the Way, and with Marisa Tomei and Gena Rowlands in Unhook the Stars. His television roles include E.R., The Pretender, Apollo 11, and numerous commercials.

Daniel Logan (young Boba Fett, Attack of the Clones) Boba Fett spans the entire Star Wars saga, and started with the character as a young man, portrayed in Attack of the Clones by television and film actor Logan.

Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca, original Star Wars trilogy, and Revenge of the Sith) Peter Mayhew brought Han Solo's co-pilot Chewbacca to life on the screen in all three original Star Wars movies, and also in Revenge of the Sith. Well-loved by fans, the performer travels widely to meet them the world over.

Temuera Morrison (Jango Fett and clone troopers, Attack of the Clones; Commander Cody and clone troopers, Revenge of the Sith) Morrison's busy career is studded with two Best Actor awards in New Zealand. Fans saw Morrison many times on screen in Revenge of the Sith, not only as Commander Cody, but also as a number of troopers and officers of the clone army.

Ray Park (Darth Maul, The Phantom Menace) Park, a champion marshal artist carried the iconic face of evil in Episode I. He also has performed in X-Men, Sleepy Hollow, and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. Look for Park in the upcoming Star Wars-themed comedy Fanboys, and as Snake Eyes in the movie G.I. Joe.

David Prowse (Darth Vader) British performer David Prowse donned the costume of Darth Vader for the original Star Wars trilogy. His appearances outside the Star Wars realm include a role in Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange and as Britain's Green Cross Code man.

Tim Rose (Admiral Ackbar, Sy Snootles, Salacious Crumb, Return of the Jedi) As a puppeteer and animatronics designer, Rose helped perform characters in Return of the Jedi, and his career encompasses numerous film and television productions.

Orli Shoshan (Shaak Ti, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith) Shoshan was working in a modeling agency in Australia when she was cast as a Jedi Master for Episode II. She returned to reprise her role for Revenge of the Sith.

Matthew Wood (General Grievous, Revenge of the Sith; Bib Fortuna, The Phantom Menace) Wood, the Supervising Sound Editor for the Star Wars prequels, created the voice for General Grievous for Episode III, and voices for other prequel characters as well. Always busy with his technical responsibilities for the film, Wood managed to find his voice -- or rather helped the nefarious droid general find his voice.

The Celebration Japan Autograph Hall will be located in the main exhibit hall at Celebration Japan. Hours for the hall are 10:00 AM -- 6:00 PM, Saturday through Monday, July 19-21.
